Tree Removal and Tree Service in Westborough, MA
West of Framingham, out Route 9 or Route 30 past Southborough.

Westborough is just past Southborough, west of Framingham. We get there out Route 9 or Route 30, or on the Pike when it makes sense. Most Westborough homes are about twenty-five minutes from our yard, and there is no travel charge.
Neighborhoods and the trees around them
Westborough has an old town center with older homes and big street maples, and a ring of neighborhoods built from the 1960s on. The newer subdivisions near I-495 and Route 9 were carved out of woods, so most backyards end at a wall of oaks, white pines and red maples. Those edge trees lean out toward the light over the lawn and the house. They are the ones we see come down in wet snow and summer thunderstorms.
Red maples are common in the wetter parts of town. They grow fast and often form weak, tight forks that split under ice. If you see a long crack running down from a fork, or a big limb with a seam in it, have us take a look. Sometimes cabling or removing the bad limb is enough. Sometimes the whole tree needs to come down.
Lake Chauncy and the wet ground
Homes around Lake Chauncy and along the brooks and wetlands that cover parts of Westborough often fall inside a wetland buffer. Cutting trees or clearing brush there can need Westborough Conservation Commission approval. We will tell you if your job is close enough to check, and we work carefully on soft ground with mats to avoid rutting.
Town trees and scenic roads
Trees in the public way belong to the town under the state shade tree law, and the tree warden decides what happens to them. That covers a lot of the big maples on the older streets near the center. If your road is designated a scenic road, trees along the road edge may need Planning Board approval before they come down. Ask us if you are unsure, and read our guide on who owns the tree by the street.

Common Questions
- Is there a travel fee for Westborough?
- No. Westborough is in our regular service area and there is no travel charge.
- Can you save a red maple with a split fork?
- Sometimes. If the wood is sound, cabling and a weight-reduction pruning can hold it. If the split runs deep, removal is the safer call. We will give you an honest answer.
