Tree Removal and Tree Service in Wayland, MA
Northeast of Framingham, up Route 30 and Route 126.

Wayland borders Framingham to the northeast, and the south end of town is only a few minutes from us. We come up Route 30 into Cochituate or take Route 126 north, and from there Route 20 gets us to the rest of town. Wayland is a regular stop for our crews, and there is no travel charge to get there.
Cochituate and the lake
Cochituate village has a lot of capes and ranches on modest lots, many built after the war. The trees there are mostly mature oaks and white pines that were left standing when the houses went in. Seventy years later they are tall, close to the house and often leaning toward the open side of the yard. We remove a lot of those pines and do weight reduction on oaks that hang over roofs.
The houses along Lake Cochituate and Dudley Pond are a different job. Lots are tight, the yards slope toward the water, and access is often a narrow road or a shared driveway. We plan those removals around what we can reach. When a crane or bucket truck will not fit, we climb and lower wood down by rope.
Wetlands and the Sudbury River
A lot of Wayland is wet. The Sudbury River runs along the west side of town, and there are marshes, brooks and conservation land throughout. Homes near Lake Cochituate, Dudley Pond and the river often sit inside the wetland buffer. Cutting trees or clearing brush there can need Wayland Conservation Commission approval before work starts. We will tell you if your job is close enough that you should check, and what to bring to the Commission.
Old roads and town trees
Wayland has old roads lined with big maples and oaks. If your road is designated a scenic road, cutting trees along the road edge may need Planning Board approval. Trees in the public way belong to the town, and the tree warden decides what happens to them. If the tree you are worried about stands near the street, call the town first or ask us to help figure out who owns it.
Our work in Wayland
Most of our Wayland calls are for tree removal, tree trimming and stump grinding. We also do cabling and bracing on old oaks with split trunks, and emergency tree work when storms put trees on houses or across driveways. Lakefront jobs with no truck access sometimes call for crane tree removal, and we will tell you up front if yours does.
Every estimate is free and written, with each tree listed. We are fully insured and have worked in MetroWest since 2011. If you want a rough idea of pricing first, read our tree removal cost guide. Wayland prices run about the same as Framingham.
Wayland homeowners can call (508) 555-0142 or send the form for a free written estimate.
